How testing works here

Not a menu. A strategy.

You don’t need every test. Dr. Gidwani picks the ones that answer real questions about your health, reads every result herself, and explains what it means for you.

1. Choose

At your consultation, Dr. Gidwani selects tests based on your history, goals, and family risk.

2. Test

Labs, imaging, and at-home kits are coordinated for you.

3. Interpret

A one-on-one review of every result, compared against your past records.

4. Act and track

Lifestyle first, with medical treatment added where it adds value. Monthly check-ins with Dr. Gidwani, and biomarkers rechecked at 3, 6, and 12 months.

Proof, not guesswork

We measure whether it’s working.

Every targeted protocol comes with a tracking schedule. You check in with Dr. Gidwani every month, and the biomarkers that matter for your plan are rechecked at 3, 6, and 12 months, so changes are based on your data, not a hunch. Your wearable data is reviewed along the way.

The testing

Thirteen ways to see what’s really going on.

01 · Foundation

Comprehensive blood work

A standard physical checks the basics. This goes much further.

  • Run through Quest and specialty labs, with add-ons Dr. Gidwani picks for you.
  • Compared against your past labs so you see trends, not a single snapshot.
  • Targeted biomarkers rechecked at 3, 6, and 12 months to confirm your plan is working.

DEXA scan

The most accurate way to see what your body is actually made of.

  • Muscle: lean mass by region, including arms and legs, so we can protect and build it.
  • Visceral fat: the fat around your organs most tied to heart disease and diabetes.
  • Bone density: early warning for bone loss, especially through perimenopause and menopause.
  • Tracking: repeat scans show whether you are losing fat or muscle, which the scale can’t tell you. Essential on GLP-1 medications.

03 · Fitness

VO₂ max testing

One of the strongest predictors of how long you live.

  • Measures how efficiently your body uses oxygen at peak effort.
  • Sets your exact heart rate zones for training.
  • Shows where you stand for your age and how much room there is to improve.

04 · Heart & arteries

Advanced heart testing

Heart disease starts years before symptoms. We look early.

  • CAC score: a quick, low-dose CT that measures calcified plaque in your heart arteries.
  • Cleerly: AI analysis of a coronary CT angiogram that measures soft plaque a calcium score can miss.
  • Vibrant Cardio Zoomer: an expanded blood panel of lipid, inflammation, and vessel health markers.

05 · Biological age

TruAge epigenetic testing

How old your body is, and how fast it is aging right now.

  • A blood test that reads DNA methylation to estimate biological age.
  • Includes pace of aging (DunedinPACE), so we can see if your plan is slowing it down.
  • Retest after changes to measure real impact.

06 · Cellular & mitochondrial

Mitochondrial health

Your cells’ energy system drives fatigue, recovery, and aging.

  • Vibrant Cellular Zoomer: urine test of mitochondrial and energy markers, oxidative damage, detox capacity, and nutrient status.
  • Paired with training and nutrition changes, then retested.

07 · Gut

Gut and food testing

Bloating, fatigue, skin, and mood often trace back to the gut.

  • Vibrant Gut Zoomer: maps 100+ gut microbes and pathogens, digestion, inflammation, and gut lining health.
  • Vibrant Food Zoomer: immune reactions to specific foods, when symptoms point there.

08 · Hormones & metabolism

Hormones and blood sugar

Energy, sleep, weight, and mood start here.

  • Vibrant Hormone Zoomer: sex and adrenal hormones and how your body breaks them down, plus a daily cortisol curve.
  • Continuous glucose monitoring: two weeks of real-life blood sugar data from a small sensor.
  • Interpreted for your life stage, including perimenopause, menopause, and low testosterone.

09 · Brain

Brain and cognitive testing

A baseline today so we can protect memory and focus for decades.

  • Cognitive testing: standardized measures of memory, attention, processing speed, and executive function.
  • Vibrant Neural Zoomer: antibodies linked to inflammation affecting the brain and nerves.
  • APOE and genetic risk: helps decide how aggressive prevention should be.

10 · Environment & immune

Toxins and immune testing

For unexplained symptoms that standard labs don’t explain.

  • Vibrant Toxin Zoomer: 20 heavy metals, 30 mold toxins, 38 environmental chemicals, and 17 PFAS.
  • Vibrant Immune Zoomer: autoimmune antibodies across organ systems.
  • Tickborne panel: Lyme disease and co-infections, when history points there.

Micronutrient testing

Know exactly what you are low in before adding supplements.

  • Vibrant Nutrient Zoomer: vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and fatty acids.
  • Turns into a targeted supplement plan, not a cabinet full of guesses.

Cancer screening and imaging

Find problems while they are small.

  • Galleri: one blood draw that screens for a signal shared by 50+ cancer types. It adds to your regular screenings and does not replace them.
  • Whole-body MRI: a full-body scan with no radiation, reviewed with you so findings are put in context.

13 · Everyday data

Wearable review

Your watch, ring, or sensor already collects the data. Dr. Gidwani reads it.

  • Sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, activity, and recovery from devices like Oura, WHOOP, Apple Watch, and Garmin.
  • Glucose trends from continuous glucose monitors.
  • Reviewed alongside your labs, so daily habits and biomarkers tell one story.

Good to know

Testing questions.

Do I need all of these tests?
No. Most patients need a focused set. Dr. Gidwani picks tests based on your history, goals, and family risk, and skips the ones that won’t change your plan.
Can I just order one test?
Testing is part of care with Dr. Gidwani, so it starts with a consultation. That way every result is interpreted and turned into a plan.
How often do you retest?
For targeted protocols, the biomarkers tied to your plan are rechecked at 3, 6, and 12 months. Other tests, like DEXA or biological age, are repeated on their own schedule.
Do you review wearable data?
Yes. Dr. Gidwani reviews data from devices like Oura, WHOOP, Apple Watch, Garmin, and continuous glucose monitors alongside your labs.
How is this different from a regular physical?
A standard physical checks a basic blood panel. Comprehensive blood work here goes much further, and adds imaging, fitness, and biological age testing when it adds clarity.
What does a DEXA scan show?
Muscle, fat, visceral fat around your organs, and bone density. It is the most reliable way to track whether you are losing fat or muscle, including on GLP-1 medications.
Is testing covered by insurance?
Studies and lab testing are billed separately. Some may be reimbursable through insurance.
Where is testing done?
Many labs and kits can be done from home. Imaging and in-person testing are coordinated in Los Angeles.
